Reports To: Kitchen Manager / Assistant Kitchen Manager

Position Summary

Prepares menu items to recipe and presentation standards in a fast-paced tavern kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare hot and cold menu items to standardized recipes, portions, and plating specs.

• Operate grill, fryer, sauté, oven, and other kitchen equipment safely.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked station throughout each shift.

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and other food management practices.

• Communicate clearly with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff.

• Assist with prep, line setup, and end-of-shift cleaning and breakdown.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 2+ years of cooking experience in a restaurant or tavern kitchen preferred.

• Valid food handler / food safety certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days).

• Working knowledge of standard kitchen equipment and basic cooking techniques.

• Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced environment.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lb and be on their feet for 8 hours or more per shift.
