We're committed to a unique, human-first culture that encourages authenticity, prioritizes diversity and inclusion, and fosters the growth and success of our employees.
Position Summary
As an AI Content Strategist at F5, you will play a pivotal role in helping us transition to a highly structured content model and optimizing content performance broadly across F5.com. In this junior to mid-level role, you will analyze page structures and user journey maps to identify strategic opportunities that reinforce and showcase AI's critical role in F5's products, services, and security defense solutions.
Rather than driving search and optimization programs independently, you will act as a key collaborator and liaison with our dedicated SEO and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) team. Together, you will translate technical search insights into page-level recommendations, adjusting our structured content to meet evolving AEO requirements and ensuring F5's technology narrative remains compelling, cohesive, and discoverable.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Structured Content Modeling: Collaborate on the transition to and maintenance of a highly structured content model and taxonomy framework across F5.com to ensure content is modular, scalable, and machine-readable.
  • Journey Mapping & Page Architecture: Analyze web page structures and customer journeys to identify key opportunities to integrate and elevate F5's AI narrative, specifically highlighting the value of AI in F5 products, services, and digital defense.
  • SEO/AEO Collaboration: Interface closely with F5's specialized SEO and AEO team; translate their performance findings into actionable recommendations for adjusting structured content, schema, and page layouts.
  • Content Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize broad web content performance across F5.com, ensuring content is findable, high-quality, and aligned with overall brand goals.
  • AI Tool Integration: Responsibly leverage generative AI tools and workflows to assist in structuring, mapping, drafting, and scaling content while maintaining F5's strict brand voice and editorial standards.
  • Cross-Functional Teamwork: Partner with product marketing, security experts, creative, and web development teams to execute structured content updates and streamline the digital publishing lifecycle.
  • Compliance & Ethics: Ensure all structured and AI-assisted content complies with F5's editorial guidelines, ethical AI frameworks, and corporate security policies.
  • Responsible for upholding F5's Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

The Job Description is intended to be a general representation of the responsibilities and requirements of the job. However, the description may not be all-inclusive, and responsibilities and requirements are subject to change.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong understanding of digital content strategy, with exposure to structured content models, taxonomy, or metadata schemas.
  • Familiarity with digital customer journey mapping and identifying content gaps across different web page architectures.
  • Excellent collaborative and communication skills, with a proven ability to bridge the gap between technical teams (like SEO/AEO and Web Development) and creative content creators.
  • Familiarity with how search engines and emerging AI search/answer engines (AEO) ingest and process structured data.
  • Hands-on experience or active interest in using generative AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to streamline content structuring, categorization, and drafting.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate technical security and product concepts into clear web copy.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and basic web analytics platforms.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Technical Writing, Management Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in digital content strategy, content design, web production, or digital marketing.
  • Experience working with structured data, taxonomies, or web page optimization is highly preferred.
