Job description

Summary: The Construction Manager II supports field execution and day-to-day construction activities across assigned projects. This position serves as the primary field liaison between contractors, engineering, and project leadership to help ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans, specifications, and site safety requirements.

Location: Onsite in Oak Ridge, TN

Salary: Depending on Experience

Responsibilities
  • Day to day field oversight
  • First line contact for contractor on daily issues
  • Collaborate with Safety to ensure safe practices on jobsite
  • Ensures communication between site and contractors
  • Monitor daily progress, plans & specs adherence
  • Monitors quality control
  • Monitors schedule and reports any issues
  • Generated daily reports and documentation, photos
  • Handles site logistics
  • Coordinates submittals and approvals with engineering
  • Coordinates site access and contractor site support needed
  • Acts as construction STR for contacts
  • Works with Construction Managers to ensure successful projects
  • Support overall construction needs
  • Required to work off shifts to support construction
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience supporting construction projects in industrial, commercial, government, or DOE environments preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to construction safety and experience working within established safety programs and procedures.
  • Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and submittal processes.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced field environment and coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • DOE Q clearance preferred.
