Job description

We are hiring a flagger to regulate and direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic around our construction site. The flagger plays a crucial role in protecting workers by using hand signals, stop/slow paddles, and warning signs to prevent accidents and maintain safety in the work zone. The hourly pay rate for a former certified flagger with experience is $16, while for an individual with no prior experience, it is $15. Key responsibilities include:

directing traffic flow around work zones with hand signals, flags, and paddles; properly setting up and removing safety barricades, traffic cones, and detour signs as per project specifications; informing motorists about detour routes, delays, and coordinating two-way traffic during single-lane closures; communicating with other flaggers via two-way radios and monitoring for approaching hazards; and safely guiding emergency vehicles through restricted areas while reporting any disobedient drivers to law enforcement.
