CONCIERGE

We are looking for the right person to implement ourengaging concierge service program for our residents, visitors, and businesspartners. We specialize in assistedliving and memory care. Highgate Senior Living's mission is to devote ourselvesto help each resident live a life of purpose and each of us plays a crucialrole in doing so. We operate communities in the western US and are seeking theright Concierge to join our team in creating an environment that promotesa sense of well-being and the feeling of true community in a gracious, homelikesetting. This position is full-time and includesserving as the first point-of-contact resource for our residents, visitors, andbusiness partners. As the tone setterfor how each person feels about Highgate when they pass through our doors,you'll be the one that makes each individual feel respected, important, andwelcomed to the community. This positionattends to the various needs of our customers, both in person and through thevarious forms of electronic communication, ensures that the first impression ofour community is always favorable, assists with resident events/functions andprovides supportive services to our residents and their families.

The successful candidate will be motivated by service, an organized anddetail-oriented individual with a positive and self-motivated attitude. Youmust have strong communication and computer skills. Excellent time managementskills are important along with relationship building, persistence, flexibility,and adaptability. The essentialjob functions include: fielding requests from residents and families, creatinginformal opportunities for resident socialization, managing the firstimpression areas of our community, handling the phones, and maintaining certainadministrative systems and records for the community.

  • Ability to create an appealing atmospherefor our seniors at varying cognitive and physical ability levels

  • Communication skills that use kindnessand compassion to respond to and anticipate the needs of our customers
  • Awareness to the overall atmosphereand ability to create that welcoming atmosphere we are known for
  • Proficient in MS Office suite, phoneetiquette, verbal and non-verbal communication techniques
  • Team player with ability to developstrong working relationships along with customer service focus
  • Ability to adapt/respond quickly tothe needs and preferences of our residents
  • An understanding or the willingness togain an understanding of the various forms of dementia and how to helpresidents with dementia still live with purpose

RELATABLE EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in concierge style roles or other types of customer facing interactions
  • Past experiences where you have spent time helping others
  • Educational background in hospitality, management, or leadership
  • Past roles in which you have been amulti-tasker, attending to the needs of others while monitoring the overallenvironment
  • Jobs you've had that include workingwith seniors or other vulnerable populations
  • Prior volunteer work or other workwhere you were responsible to anticipate and fulfill needs
  • Experiences that have given you a familiaritywith the senior population and how aging can affect a person
  • Experience in assisted living, healthcare, hospitality,restaurants, concierge style service
QUALIFICATIONS:

1- At least 18 years of age

2- At least 1 year in high level customerservice

3- Current negative TB test

4- Desire to serve others and work withvulnerable populations

5- Willingness to learn how to work in ahealthcare/assisted living environment

6- Ability to pass criminalrecord/background check

7- Exercise good time management skills

8- Must be able to work wellindependently with little oversight
