Overview:
The Sales Manager working with our Director of Sales and Director of Sales & Marketing, will be responsible for driving and maximizing top line revenue with the solicitation of group guestroom business and banquet event space. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated hospitality sales professional who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is passionate about interacting with our clients, guests, and associates to strategically elevate the performance and reputation of the hotel.
Responsibilities:
  • Prospect, solicit and develop relationships and accounts within assigned market segment.
  • Drive top line revenue for hotel by achieving budgeted room night and rate revenue goals
  • Merchandise function space to maximize food and beverage revenue potential
  • Thoroughly qualify and present business opportunities to Sales Team
  • Create custom proposals and answer RFPs in a timely manner
  • Conduct site inspections by curating personalized experiences for prospective clients
  • Assist in design and organization of unique client events, sharing creative and innovative ideas
  • Collaborate with Omni Hotels & Resorts Global Sales Team
  • Participate in daily business review meetings, monthly sales meetings and various trainings as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing.
  • Expertly negotiate sales agreements
  • Mentor junior team members in preparation for professional growth

Qualifications:
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have at least 3 years of group selling experience (convention hotel experience preferred).
  • Strong analytical and researching skills to identify prospective customers.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and re-prioritize when necessary.
  • Experience in outbound solicitation, site inspections/visits with clients, and contract negotiations.
  • Strong customer service and rapport building skills.
  • Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel as needed to represent the Hotel.
  • Must have a flexible schedule to works nights, weekend and holidays as necessary. (Position qualifies for two remote dates weekly after 90 days)
