Description:

The Barista role exists as the main executor of a customer experience that models Remarkable Care. Baristas work together to build a café culture of excellence, positivity, and urgency to the customer.


Role Summary:

  • CONNECTING WITH CUSTOMERS – Baristas will put the customer first, warmly greeting each one upon entrance to the cafe. Baristas learn and use customers’ names in each interaction, showing them the same care and attention as they do with their close friends.
  • OFFERING SOLUTIONS – Baristas make extra time for every customer by offering them product recommendations including, but not limited to food, Gift Cards, Loyalty Cards, and seasonal promotions.
  • COFFEE GEEK – Everybody at Stone Creek should love coffee, be continually growing a contagious passion around it, and want to explore it deeper. Baristas will prepare beautiful beverages at the quality level expected of a certified barista once they have completed their training.
  • CLEAN SPACE – In every area of the cafe, from the front door to the restrooms, baristas will actively contribute to maintain a beautiful cafe during every shift, keeping it stocked and remarkably clean.
  • APPRECIATION – As the face of the company, Stone Creek Baristas warmly and audibly thank every customer at least once during every interaction.
Requirements:
  • Passion for coffee and for learning (#NSL)
  • Customer service enthusiast
  • Maintains regular, consistent, and punctual attendance
  • Coachable
  • Ability to communicate effectively, respectfully, and with care
  • Ability to work on your feet for an entire shift (no less than 3-4 hours)
  • Ability to work as a part of a team

  • Cleanliness: Learn to maintain a clean, organized, and inviting space by proactively cleaning and restocking throughout the shift, ensuring every area reflects remarkable standards.

Upon hire and throughout their time with Stone Creek Coffee, it is expected that no employee works for another coffee company. This policy includes any coffee-related company that produces coffee beverages or coffee beverage training. Prior to being hired by Stone Creek Coffee any employment by a company of this nature will have to end if the employee wishes to begin work at Stone Creek Coffee.


Training:

Stone Creek Coffee provides extensive coffee training for all our Baristas.

Compensation Structure:

We offer a base pay of $12.00 an hour with an hourly tip rate with an average minimum of $7 per hour. Stone Creek Coffee is also dedicated to completing all Barista training within the first 60 days. Upon certification, all baristas receive a $0.50/hr increase.
