Job description

At Buffalo Builders, our people are the backbone of every project. We don't just build structures-we build teams, careers, and communities. As a Buffalo Builder, you play a critical role in supporting commercial construction projects through hands-on work, teamwork, and a commitment to safety and quality.
The Buffalo Builder provides general labor and hands-on trade support on commercial construction job sites. This role assists skilled trades, performs a variety of finish and site tasks, and helps maintain clean, safe, and productive work areas. Buffalo Builders are expected to be flexible, dependable, and willing to learn multiple aspects of the construction process.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist carpenters, equipment operators, and other skilled trades as directed
  • Perform hands-on construction tasks, which may include:
    • Metal Stud Framing
    • Rough Carpentry
    • Trim work and finish carpentry
    • Siding
    • Caulking, sealing, and punch-list work
    • Insulation
    • Acoustical ceiling
    • Drywall hanging and finishing
    • Layout
    • Door and hardware Installation
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment
  • Prepare and maintain job sites, including cleaning, organizing, and removing debris
  • Perform basic construction activities such as lifting, carrying, measuring, cutting, and demolition
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA guidelines
  • Safely use hand and power tools appropriate to assigned tasks
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
  • Represent Buffalo Construction with professionalism on job sites

Required Qualifications
  • Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work outdoors and indoors in varying weather and job site conditions
  • Willingness to perform a variety of hands-on construction and finish tasks
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude
  • Commitment to safety and job site rules
  • Reliable transportation to job sites
  • Own and provide your own hand tools. (hammer, snips, klines, nail pouch, mud pan, knife, tape measure, level, pliers, crescent wrench, square, screwdriver, chalk line, prybar, etc.). Power tools to be provide by team lead.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior commercial construction, general labor, or finish work experience
  • Experience with painting, trim, tile, or framing
  • Familiarity with basic construction tools and equipment
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (provided by Buffalo if you are not certified)

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed on active commercial construction sites
  • Requires standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting for extended periods
  • Exposure to noise, dust, tools, equipment, and outdoor elements is common

  • Full-time position
  • Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work as needed
