What is weekend cold calling?

Weekend cold calling jobs involve reaching out to potential clients, customers, or leads by phone during the weekends, typically to promote products, services, or gather information. Employees in these roles follow a script or guidelines and often work from a call center or remotely. The goal is to generate interest, set appointments, or collect data, and these positions may require good communication and persuasion skills. Weekend hours are targeted to reach people who may not be available during the traditional workweek.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a weekend cold caller?

To excel as a Weekend Cold Caller, you typically need strong verbal communication skills, a persuasive attitude, and prior experience or training in sales or telemarketing. Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software and autodialing systems is often required. Resilience, persistence, and active listening are important soft skills that help build rapport and handle rejection effectively. These abilities are crucial for achieving sales targets, maintaining productivity, and creating positive customer interactions during high-volume calling periods.

What are some typical challenges faced in a weekend cold calling role, and how can I overcome them?

Weekend Cold Calling professionals often encounter challenges such as reaching decision-makers outside standard business hours and handling a higher rate of unanswered calls. To overcome these, it's helpful to prepare engaging voicemail scripts, track optimal calling times for better response rates, and maintain a resilient, positive attitude. Regular feedback sessions with your team or supervisor can also help refine your approach and improve results over time.

LionRock Financial Services | Hallandale Beach, FL | On-Site

1099 Independent Contractor | Commission + Bonuses

Stop Prospecting. Start Closing.

If you can sell, we want to put opportunities in front of you.

LionRock provides our agents with 12–17 inbound life insurance opportunities per day—so you can spend your time talking to consumers who are actively looking for coverage instead of cold calling, door knocking, buying leads, or chasing friends and family.

Already licensed? Get started quickly.

Not licensed yet? Proven sales professionals may qualify for assistance obtaining their Florida life insurance license.

What Makes This Opportunity Different

12–17 Inbound Opportunities Every Day
Spend your day selling—not searching for people to call.

No Cold Calling. No Door Knocking. No Friends & Family Prospecting.
We provide the opportunities. You focus on converting them.

Multiple A-Rated Carriers
Offer clients multiple solutions instead of being limited to one carrier or product.

Day-One Vesting + Renewal Income
Build a book of business that can continue generating income as you grow.

Proven Sales System + Daily Coaching
You'll have a structured phone-sales process, hands-on coaching, and a team focused on helping you produce.

Income Potential

This is a performance-driven, commission-based opportunity with significant upside.

Producing Agents: $9,000–$12,000/month
Top Producers: $30,000+/month
First-Year Income Potential: $100,000–$250,000+

This is a 1099 independent contractor, commission-based opportunity. Earnings are not guaranteed and vary based on individual production.

What You'll Do

You'll speak with inbound consumers looking for life insurance, identify their needs, compare available carrier options, present the best-fit solutions, and complete applications primarily over the phone.

You'll also follow up with prospects, manage your pipeline in our CRM, participate in daily coaching, and continuously sharpen your ability to close.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for competitive, coachable salespeople who know how to communicate, build trust, and close.

Licensed Florida life insurance agents with an active 2-14 or 2-15 license are strongly preferred.

Not licensed? We also want to hear from proven commission salespeople coming from industries such as solar, automotive, pest control, home security, timeshare, wireless, inside sales, and other high-performance sales environments.

Exceptional candidates may qualify for assistance with the Florida licensing process before joining our sales team.
