Job description

You will be responsible for setting up the dining area and trays for meal services, adhering to food safety guidelines, and following dietary restrictions based on residents' needs.
  • Responsible for assisting cook/supervisor with food preparation and service using specific procedures, following guidelines, and regulations.
  • Responsible for delivering residents' meal carts, and setting and cleaning assigned dining area(s) to serve residents.
  • Accurately recording temperatures on refrigerators; clean and stock as needed.
  • Wash and store dishes; adhering to overall sanitation and maintenance of the kitchen.
  • Knowledgeable of Federal, State, and Community rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for acting in conformance with all facility and departmental policies and procedures including those relating to Human Resources, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, Health and Safety regulations, Compliance requirements, Patient Rights, Confidentiality, and HIPAA. Responsible for acting in conformance with accrediting agency standards.
  • Attends department meetings as required.
  • Demonstrates accountability to accept responsibility for personal/professional growth and any required certifications/licenses, if applicable.
  • Completes mandatory training and competencies annually.
