Job Description
Position Description:
With limited supervision performs intermediate scheduled, unscheduled and emergency tasks on a fabrication or project level. Completes tasks in a timely fashion in accordance with published schedules. Primary functions focus on fabrication and projects throughout the plant.
Candidate must be willing to work weekends and or varied shifts;
Demonstrates the proper operation of all welding and fabrication equipment; Communications with production staff and proactive problem solving; Assists with some on-the-job training on designated equipment, and explains how a task is performed or accomplished;
Properly communicates and documents all work performed in MP2, in compliance with work order process guidelines; Complies with all applicable Best Practices, Maintenance Policies, and building codes; Expends the majority of effort and time on the designated area, but completes other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
  • 2 Years experience in a heavy mechanical/electrical manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong background in welding/fabrication process
  • Must be resourceful and apply critical thinking skills in problem solving
  • Principles of mechanics (coupling, shaft alignment, bearings, gears & lubrication)
  • Read and interoperate, technical documents, drawings, and schematics
  • Basic trigonometry to produce various angles, bends, and layouts.
  • Capable of reading scales, calipers and micrometers
  • Welding test required: Mig, Stick, Tig.
  • Milling Machine, Lathe, Press, Broaching experience needed.
  • Must be able to operate PIV'S and use aerial lifts.
