Job description

Make Reliability Your Craft

Join Core Natural Resources and keep our port terminal performing. Your mission: ensure equipment is ready when operations need it and step in to run mobile equipment that keeps coal moving from rail to vessel.

Key Outcomes
  • Maximize terminal uptime by executing planned and corrective mechanical work
  • Support coal transshipment by safely operating forklifts, manual shift trucks, JLG man-lifts, and crane trucks
  • Apply the Safe Work Instruction Program and perform pre-task safety reviews
  • Interpret technical drawings, prints, schematics, and manuals to troubleshoot
  • Weld with oxy/acetylene at multiple angles and steel thicknesses
  • Layout, fabricate, and install components for minor equipment repairs
  • Cross-train across loaders, dozers, locomotives, and cranes
  • Operate independently with sound judgment in dynamic conditions
Qualifications
  • 3+ yearsโ€™ experience that includes machine maintenance
  • Millwright background preferred (bearing changes, motor alignments)
  • Rigging competence; experience working around cranes and hoists
  • Strong mechanical and fabrication aptitude; proficient with hand tools
  • Effective verbal/written communication and basic math skills
  • Able to stand for long periods and perform physically intensive work
  • Comfortable in confined spaces, at heights, and in extreme weather
  • Open to rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime
