Position Description
The Coaching Education Coordinator is responsible for supporting the technical objectives and operational aspects of U.S. Soccer's Coaching Education Program. The position is operational but does require a strong understanding of soccer and a familiarity with coaching. In addition to the administrative duties listed, the position will also provide support to the department's technical staff, as needed.
To perform the primary duties and functions, this position requires someone highly organized and detail-oriented. The individual is expected to proactively contribute across multiple areas of the department. This position is responsible for exhibiting a high degree of professionalism, maintaining a customer service mentality, and communicating consistently and transparently with U.S. Soccer's membership.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain positive working relationships with U.S. Soccer members by providing training, support, and service
  • Provide customer service support to coaches, educators, and administrators
  • Plan and execute educational courses and events
  • Maintain course curriculums and educational resources in U.S. Soccer's LMS, as well as internally
  • Support the department's digital assets to ensure consistency and quality
  • Additional duties as assigned

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline
  • Strong familiarity with U.S. Soccer programming; comprehension of Coach Education is a plus
  • Must have a passion for the sport
  • Strong interpersonal, consensus-building skills, with the ability to communicate and achieve results across multiple audiences in a complex organizational structure
  • Adept at building presentations to communicate ideas, e.g. Keynote, PowerPoint, InDesign
  • Outstanding organizational, planning, and time management skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Dedication to the highest level of standards and excellence
  • Able to work independently
  • Proficient knowledge of Spanish-language skills is a plus
  • Capable of working in fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Must be able to connect "micro" details to the "macro" vision and mission
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Adobe programs
  • Weekend and holiday work required at times
  • Some travel may be required
