Job description

 JOB SUMMARY:

Assist the KIDS CO. Pastor (Early Childhood) in overseeing the children, leaders and program in Early Childhood. This is a part-time, 25-hour-per-week position.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement and execute curriculum and plan for the Early Childhood weekend services
  • Coordinate the staffing status for each weekend as well as communication to the team members
  • Ensure that all supplies and programming materials are provided for each area
  • Assist Early Childhood Pastor in implementing and executing events (Parent/Child Dedication, Summer Jam, Preschool events, etc.)
  • Invite, train and delegate to a team of key leaders who can help carry out and share essential functions of ministry for this age group
  • Work with other KIDS CO. staff to use social media to promote KIDS CO. to parents and church at large
  • Have a physical presence during the weekend services to connect with volunteers, parents and children
  • Support and care for leaders beyond Sunday
  • Attend church service
  • Be committed to doing ministry as a team and promote unity
  • Be an active participant in most KIDS CO. related activities

TEAM MEMBER:

  • Meet bi-weekly with KIDS CO. staff for discussion, evaluation and sharing of vision and needs of the KIDS CO. ministry
  • Meet weekly with KIDS CO. Pastor (Early Childhood) for training, development, and care.
  • Be committed to doing ministry as a team and promoting unity
  • Be an active participant in KIDS CO. related activities
  • Pursue an active, growing relationship with Christ
  • Consistently attend a church service at least twice a month.

SPECIFIC SKILLS / STRENGTHS

  • Communication is key to developing relationships with Legacy and KIDS CO. Staff, Team Members, and parents.

EXPERIENCE DESIRED

  • Minimum 2+ year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

EDUCATION DESIRED

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalency; college degree preferred

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervises a volunteer team on the weekends.

LANGUAGE SKILLS 

  • Ability to speak effectively and understandably on the phone. The ability to effectively present information and respond to common inquiries regarding the Chase Oaks technical environment is also required. High attention to customer service.

COMPUTER SKILLS 

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook calendaring, and email
  • Basic knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Basic knowledge of Canva
  • Data Entry skill & experience
  • Familiarity with Databases
