LOCATION: Las Vegas - Owens Campus
STATUS: Full Time/Non Exempt
MISSION STATEMENT:

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in general building maintenance or related field preferred
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry or general facility repair work
  • A demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of building systems, tools, and maintenance practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher), email, and internet applications.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform general maintenance and repair tasks assigned, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and facility upkeep
  • Respond promptly to work orders and maintenance requests
  • Assist with routine inspections of the facility to identify maintenance or safety concerns
  • Support preventative maintenance tasks to ensure proper functioning of building systems
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down spaces for operations, events, or program needs
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas, tools, and equipment
  • Follow safety procedures and report hazards or major repair needs to the Lead Maintenance Technician immediately
  • Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Support outside contractors or vendors when they are on-site
  • Complete assigned tasks efficiently while maintaining quality standards

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate telephone, a desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
