  • Operate and drive vehicles with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of over 33,000 pounds
  • Load and unload freight using appropriate handling equipment
  • Ensure load contents are securely packed and organized
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs using both electronic and paper logbooks
  • Retain fuel/toll receipts
  • Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
  • Adhere to truck driving rules and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
  • Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
  • Collect and verify delivery instructions
