What You'll Do

The Line Cook plays a key role in delivering fresh, high-quality food and a fast, friendly experience for our guests. You'll work behind the line preparing made-to-order meals using flat tops, fryers, and prep stations keeping things clean, organized, and running smoothly. This position reports directly to the Assistant Manager and Station Manager and works closely with other food service team members.


Deliver Great Food & Service
  • Prepare, cook, and assemble made-to-order menu items using flat tops, deep fryers, and other kitchen equipment
  • Ensure all food is prepared to company standards for quality, portion, and presentation
  • Maintain awareness of current menu items, ingredients, and prep procedures
  • Work quickly and efficiently to meet guest expectations during peak times
  • Communicate clearly and courteously with team members and customers when needed
Keep It Clean & Safe
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, prep stations, and service areas throughout the shift
  • Follow all food safety, handling, and sanitation standards per company and health department guidelines
  • Regularly clean and maintain equipment including fryers, flat tops, and utensils
  • Rotate stock and ingredients using FIFO (First In, First Out) practices to reduce waste
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, safety issues, or shortages to management immediately
Support Daily Operations
  • Accurately complete temperature checks, prep logs, and cleaning checklists
  • Assist with opening, mid-shift, and closing duties as assigned
  • Follow all cash-handling and order-taking procedures when operating the POS system
  • Take ownership of maintaining speed, quality, and consistency throughout service
Be a Team Player
  • Work collaboratively with coworkers and take direction from management
  • Help teammates during busy periods to keep service fast and efficient

Requirements

What's Required:

Must be at least 16 years of age. In select market(s), hiring age may be 18+.

Ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail/food-service environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale (POS) system accurately.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to lift up to 30 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally, and to stand for extended periods.


Preferred Experience:

Prior experience in a convenience store, gas station, or retail environment.

Prior experience in a fast-food or QSR environment.

Experience handling cash and completing shift reports or basic bookkeeping tasks.
