Job description

· Responsible for daily setup and operation of the packaging line, and overseeing packaging line employees

· Ensure correct formula is presented to filling line equipment and correct labels are applied to finish product containers

· Responsible for proper operation of equipment in the packaging line and adherence to proper sequences for manufacturing products per production schedule

· Inspect equipment for damaged, loose/missing parts to maintain line safety and product quality

· Control and adjust the functions and settings of filling and/or labeling lines for optimum efficiency. Keep line stoppage and line backups to a minimum while running equipment as fast as possible to maximize output

· Make pallet tickets or oversee employees making pallet tickets to assure accuracy.

· Record production data, such as batch numbers, starting & ending times

· Dump & scrape out dump carts

· Follow all safety rules

· Ensure compliance with production and/or packaging standard operating procedures and practices as well as inspecting all areas within the production line for any operational or mechanical issues

· Assist supervisors in standardizing procedures/practices to improve line efficiency and/or product quality

· Remove equipment and/or packaging materials that are not currently being used during production.

· Store lose parts, change parts, and tools in an orderly sanitary manner

· Identify issues and implement corrective action; notifying supervision and/or management.

· Expected to work in other areas as needed
