Job description

Venture Home

WE'RE HIRING: The Face of Venture Home (Content & Marketing Lead)
Location: Stamford CT office
Please read the entire job description! If you do not submit a video, you will not be considered for the position.

Venture Home is looking for a powerhouse creator to be the face, voice, and strategic mind behind our brand.

We are on a mission to sincerely educate homeowners about the future of energy - solar, batteries, EV charging, and smart home monitoring. We want to cut through the noise and build a massive, authentic online presence. That’s where you come in.

You will be working hand-in-hand with our co-founder, Alex Yackery, to take Venture Home to a whole new level.

What You’ll Do
  • Be the Face: Star in our social media content. You’ll be on camera frequently, translating complex industry concepts into engaging, easy-to-understand videos.
  • Own the Process: Learn the business inside and out. You’ll conceptualize, shoot, and do light editing (as well as manage our 3rd-party editors) to ensure a high-quality, consistent posting schedule.
  • Drive Strategy: Post content natively, collaborate with our team, and use A/B testing to figure out exactly what resonates with our audience so we can double down on it.
  • Educate & Inspire: Your ultimate goal is to build a real community by sincerely educating people on home electrification.
Who You Are
  • You love being on camera. You are charismatic, articulate, and know how to hold an audience's attention.
  • You hustle. This is a full-time, all-in role. You actually like to work hard. You are comfortable working late and putting in hours on the weekends when needed to get the job done right.
  • You are a tech/energy optimist. You are genuinely excited about the future of electrification, solar power, and green tech.
  • You are a doer. You don’t just want to plan content; you want to get your hands dirty making it and optimizing it.
  • You love content. Planning, strategizing, producing, and creating content. Video is important, but written content and photography as well.
  • Willing to travel. We serve customers throughout the northeast and midatlantic and will be frequenting customers’ homes and installation sites. Must have a valid driver’s license
📲 How to Apply

We want to see what you can do, not just read about it on a piece of paper.

To apply, DM our Instagram account (@venturesolar) with a short video (~1 minute) of yourself with your name. Please make sure to apply through the traditional channel as well so we can get in touch if we select you for the interview process.

Show us your camera presence, your energy, your creativity, and your pitch. We’re ready when you are!
