Bookkeeper / Operations Administrator

Our client is a specialized engineering and contracting firm delivering innovative building solutions through advanced technology, engineering expertise, and experienced workmanship. They are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Operations Administrator to support day-to-day office operations and manage full-cycle bookkeeping for a project-based engineering/construction environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, including AP, AR, invoicing, reconciliations, and payroll.
  • Perform project/job costing and monitor budgets and profitability.
  • Prepare HST, WSIB, payroll, and other CRA-related filings.
  • Manage QuickBooks Desktop and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Provide administrative support including purchase orders, contracts, scheduling, correspondence, and client/vendor communication.
  • Prepare financial reports and year-end working papers; liaise with external accountants.
  • Support management with budgeting, cash flow, and operational matters.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping/accounting experience.
  • Strong QuickBooks Desktop and Excel skills.
  • Experience with project/job costing, construction, engineering, or contracting is an asset.
