Job description

We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to maintain our financial records, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.  This position has flexible work hours, on-site work, and is part-time of approximately 20 hours per week.

Bookkeeper job duties include working closely the owner to process accounts payable and receivables, manage automobile titles and documents, tax payments, payroll, and other financial transactions. Our ideal candidate is familiar with QuickBooks, ADP, and Excel.

Ultimately, the Bookkeeper’s responsibility is to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our company.

Responsibilities

  • Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
  • Verify that transactions are recorded timely and accurately
  • Bring the books to the trial balance stage
  • Complete tax forms
  • Enter data, maintain records and create reports and financial statements
  • Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner

Requirements and skills

  • Proven bookkeeping experience, preferably for an automotive retail sales or service company
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
