The opportunity
Delaware North Sportservice is hiring a part-time Beverage Supervisor to join our team at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington. As Beverage Supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting with bar operations, ensuring that our guests receive the best service possible, upholding a constant level of staff productivity, ensuring that the bar's budget is not exceeded and maintaining health and safety standards within the bar. What will you do?
  • Oversee bar set-up and closing procedures on event days.
  • Ensure that all company policies are followed by associates.
  • Observe, evaluate, and document job performances of associates.
  • Recommend personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, disciplinary action, and discharges.
  • Ensure associates meet appearance standards and follow all uniform guidelines.
  • Order and maintain product inventory.
  • Complete daily sales reports and reconciliation.
  • Assist with end-of-month inventory and financial reporting.
  • Assist bartending associates in serving guests as business levels demand.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

More about you
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Able to work a flexible scheduling including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Previous experience with draft beer systems is required.
  • Knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience a plus.
  • Knowledge in bartending techniques, recipes, sanitation, and safety issues.
  • Basic math skills; ability to accurately account for cash and inventory.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Physical requirements
  • Frequent walking, throughout the entire facility, for the entire length of shift.
  • Constant standing, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.
  • Able to lift/move up to 165 pounds.
  • Bar environment, noise.
