Key Responsibilities- Foster a positive, therapeutic environment by engaging with clients, reinforcing program expectations, and modeling healthy behaviors
- Provide non-clinical support to clients in distress and connect them quickly with licensed therapists as needed
- Keep clients on track with encouragement, schedule reminders, and logistical support
- Co-facilitate psychoeducational and support groups alongside licensed clinicians
- Act as a communication link between therapists, the clinical team, and outside providers
- Shadow clinical staff to deepen understanding of therapeutic approaches and program structure
- Assist Primary Therapists with scribing during sessions and help maintain client documentation under supervision
- Prepare session materials and organize client case files
- Enter non-clinical data into the electronic health record (EHR) system
- Support general administrative tasks including scanning, uploading, and filing documents
QualificationsRequired:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong understanding of professional boundaries in a therapeutic environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stay calm and supportive in a fast-paced setting
- Comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field
- One or more years of experience in substance use or mental health treatment settings
- Experience working with clients at detox and/or residential levels of care
- CAP, CADC, or another addiction-related certification
- Lived experience with recovery is highly valued
