Title: Platform Architect/AWS solution Architect

Hrly Rate: 80-85$/Hr on 1099/ C2C

Total experience: 15+ years

Location: Onsite (San Diego, CA or ready to travel to San Diego every alternate week.)

• Must Have

• Mandatory Technical Skill: AWS Admin, Terraform, CI/CD

• Cloud Architecture Expertise: 5+ years designing and implementing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions.

• AWS Services Mastery: Deep hands-on experience with core AWS services (EC2, EKS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation).

• Networking & Security: Strong understanding of AWS networking (VPC, Subnets, Route Tables, NAT, VPN) and security best practices (IAM policies, KMS, encryption).

• Solution Design: Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical architectures using AWS Well-Architected Framework.

• Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency in Terraform for large scale automated deployments.

• DevOps Integration: Demonstrated experience integrating AWS solutions with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CodePipeline).

• Observability: Strong knowledge of monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch and ability to implement observability best practices.

• Kubernetes Expertise: Hands-on experience setting up robust, scalable infrastructure in Amazon EKS, including cluster design, workload deployment, and security hardening.

• Disaster Recovery & High Availability: Proven experience designing and implementing DR strategies and HA architectures across AWS regions and services.

• Databricks Architecture & Configuration: Practical experience in architecting and configuring Databricks Lakehouse Platform, including Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, and secure workspace setup.

• Should Have

• Al Services & Infrastructure: Practical experience with AWS AI/ML services (SageMaker, Bedrock, Comprehend, Recognition) and designing Al-ready architectures.

Databricks Al Features: Familiarity with Databricks Al capabilities (Model Serving, Feature Store, MLflow integration).

• Migration Experience: Hands-on experience migrating on-prem workloads to AWS (lift-and-shift, re-platforming, re-architecting).

• Cost Optimization: Ability to design cost-effective solutions and leverage AWS pricing models.

• Serverless Architectures: Familiarity with Lambda, API Gateway, and EventBridge.
