Familiarity with diagnostic scanners, repair manuals, and shop management software is typically required. What are some common challenges faced by weekend automotive technicians, and how can they prepare for them?

Weekend automotive technicians often encounter high customer volume and tight turnaround times, as many clients prefer to get their vehicles serviced during the weekend. This means you may need to balance efficiency with quality while working under time pressure. Additionally, since weekend teams are sometimes smaller, technicians may need to handle a wider range of tasks, from diagnostics to customer communication. To excel, it's helpful to be adaptable, have strong multitasking skills, and maintain open communication with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.

Job description

Internet Sales Consultant – Luxury, Lifestyle & Adventure Vehicles

Location: Seattle, WA – Elliott Bay Automotive

Elliott Bay Automotive is not your average dealership. We’re home to Elliott Bay Auto Brokers — Seattle’s top destination for luxury pre-owned vehicles — and Elliott Bay INEOS Grenadier, one of the nation’s first INEOS dealers, focused on rugged 4x4s and overlanding culture. Adventure awaits!

Whether it’s a G-Wagon, a late model BMW, or our clients come to us for vehicles that reflect their lifestyle, not just a commute.

Who We’re Looking For
We’re growing and looking for a select few Auto Sales Consultants to help lead the way in luxury, lifestyle, and overland vehicle sales.
This is your chance to work with two standout brands under one supportive, fun, and forward-thinking roof.
If you’re passionate about cars (and maybe a few trails) and want to help others discover their next great drive, we want to talk to you.

Why Elliott Bay Automotive?
Because we actually care — about our clients, our cars, and our team. You won’t find high-pressure tactics or toxic “sales floor energy” here. Instead, you’ll find curated inventory, industry respect, and a team that’s here to win together — with room for fun, a few dogs in the office, and the occasional trail day.

Auto Sales Consultant Job Responsibilities

  • Help clients through the full buying journey — from first contact to post-sale follow-up
  • Match customers with the right vehicle for their lifestyle, whether it's city luxury or off-road adventure
  • Maintain expert-level product knowledge across our luxury and overlanding inventory
  • Communicate via phone, email, text, video, and social media — wherever your clients live
  • Build relationships that lead to referrals and repeat business
  • Stay grounded, have fun, and enjoy being part of a team that actually enjoys coming to work

Auto Sales Consultant Benefits and Compensation

In addition to competitive pay, our benefits are designed to support you and your family…

  • Employer-subsidized Medical and Dental insurance, with comprehensive coverage options
  • Company-Paid Life Insurance, Employee Assistance Plan, and text-based Telehealth
  • A variety of voluntary benefit options, including Short and Long-Term Disability, Critical Illness, Accident, Pet, as well as additional life insurance for you and your family.
  • 401(k) with Company Match
  • Generous Paid Time Off that begins accruing from Day 1
  • Exclusive employee pricing for you and your family on parts, service, and vehicles
  • Ongoing training and full access to some of the coolest vehicles in the Pacific Northwest
  • A no-pressure, high-support culture — no micromanaging, no games, just good people doing great work

Auto Sales Consultant Qualifications

  • Prior auto sales experience required (luxury, lifestyle, or overlanding brands a major plus)
  • Professional and personable — you know how to connect without being pushy
  • Tech-comfortable: CRM systems, texting platforms, social media tools, video walkarounds, etc.
  • Self-driven with a strong follow-through mentality
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass background and drug screenings
  • Passion for vehicles — from high-end German luxury to rugged 4x4s with rooftop tents

Corporate requirements: Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving record, able to pass a criminal background check, and a pre-employment drug screen.
