Job description

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Assembly Tech in Moorpark, CA. The Assembly Tech is responsible for the manual assembly of components and products within a production environment, ensuring all items meet quality and design specifications. The ideal candidate possesses strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with hand tools, and a commitment to maintaining safety and efficiency on the assembly line.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $17 to $18 Per Hour BOE
Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and assembly diagrams to determine required components and assembly sequences.
  • Position, align, and fasten parts together using manual hand tools, power tools, or specialized production fixtures.
  • Inspect finished assemblies for defects or deviations from quality standards and report issues to production supervision.
  • Perform routine maintenance on assembly tools and equipment to ensure they remain in safe working condition.
  • Maintain a steady production pace to meet daily output goals and project deadlines in a contract environment.
  • Adhere to all facility safety guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Organize and clean the workstation to ensure a safe and efficient production floor.
  • Document production activities and quality checks according to company procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or mechanical trade environment.
  • Proven proficiency in using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Ability to follow complex, multi-step technical instructions and work orders.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity for handling small components.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented production setting.
  • Basic computer literacy for logging production data and reviewing digital documentation.
 
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods during the shift.
  • Must possess the dexterity of hands and fingers to use tools and manipulate small parts.
  • Must be able to lift and carry components weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and twist frequently during the assembly process.
  • Must have the visual acuity to read small print and distinguish between similar components.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse or production environment with moderate noise levels.
 
Pay Transparency:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $17 to $18 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
