Job description

Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to support our client’s warehouse needs in South Bend, IN. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Experience with warehouse management systems and equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks is preferred. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in logistics, inventory control, and warehouse distribution processes within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners to move and organize inventory efficiently
  • Assist with order picking, packing, and fulfillment using warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms
  • Load and unload shipments accurately while adhering to safety protocols
  • Stock shelves and organize products in designated areas for easy retrieval
  • Support shipping & receiving activities by preparing orders for dispatch or incoming deliveries
  • Utilize basic math skills for inventory counts, order calculations, and data entry
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movements through MRP systems
  • Assist with packaging products securely for shipment in accordance with company standards
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements to perform the job safely
Qualifications & Skills
  • Previous experience in warehouse distribution or related logistics roles preferred
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, AS400, and MRP software is advantageous
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and MRPs safely
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and order accuracy
  • Basic math skills for counting, measurements, and data entry tasks
  • Physical ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) regularly and stand for extended periods
  • Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures and order fulfillment processes
  • Experience with e-commerce order processing is a plus
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Employment Type & Compensation
  • This is a Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire position
  • Pay rate is $19.00 per hour
  • Application Window: Open until filled
Work Schedule
  • Weekend Shift | Friday – Sunday | 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Paid for 40 hours with good attendance
