Hamilton Company is looking for a CNC Apprentice. This individual will be expected to complete their manufacturing education at TMCC - all costs free for the employee. They will be exposed to every aspect of manufacturing within our machine shop and it is our intention that you will become competent in the operation and set-up of many of these machines. Having a positive attitude, putting in the effort to learn will yield the results in this program. Under this job title you may be selected to participate in the Spill Response Team

Essential Job functions:

  • Provide all precautions to ensure personal and departmental safety. Reports any problems to Supervisor and/or Leadperson
  • Must be knowledgeable about MSDS sheets as they pertain to department chemicals and procedures
  • Must be familiar with all machine safety precautions and follow rigorously to prevent machine crashes/damage and ensure the longevity of said machine
  • Consistently manufacture machine parts so as not to hinder future sequences
  • Responsible for maintaining entire area in and around machine in a neat and orderly manner for good manufacturing practices and to assist in reducing or eliminating manufacturing related quality defects
  • Responsible for providing positive communication to all concerned with the manufacture of machined parts
  • Responsible for routine maintenance and upkeep of assigned CNC machine
  • Accountable for regular and consistent attendance
  • All other duties as assigned

  • Knowledge of basic hand tool sills is desired
  • Must be punctual and committed to learning and growing within the company
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as required to interface with other departments and company personnel in a service function
  • Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must be able to reach, bend, and stoop
