The Department of Animal and Pre-Veterinary Studies at the University of Findlay invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Animal Science to begin August 1, 2026. The Department of Animal and Pre-Veterinary Studies boasts close to 600 undergraduate students, and provides three emphases: Industry, Science, and Pre-Vet.

The candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Animal Science (or terminal degree in a related agricultural field) and be able to teach a variety of courses in Animal Sciences. Preference will be given to those with expertise in animal nutrition, companion animals, and/or animal behavior and welfare. ABD candidates will be considered, but degree must be conferred by August 1, 2026. A highly qualified and experienced candidate who holds a master's degree in Animal Science or related field may also be considered for a full-time, non-tenure track position.

Prior teaching experience and a willingness and desire to advise undergraduate students in Animal Science are required. Candidates must be committed to student-centered education, continued high-quality professional development, and service to the university and community. A tenure-track candidate must be able to develop and manage an undergraduate research program in a field compatible with resources available. Applicants must have excellent written and oral communication skills and demonstrate ability to utilize digital technologies for course design and delivery.
