Job description

Air Compressor Service Technician

Responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on compressors and related equipment while delivering high-quality customer service and maintaining safety and reliability standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform airend rebuilds, equipment overhauls, and mechanical repairs on compressors, blowers, and vacuum pumps
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, test, and repair industrial equipment
  • Balance rotor assemblies to specifications
  • Provide technical support in person and over the phone
  • Maintain high standards of safety, quality control, and proper use of PPE
  • Ensure tools and equipment are clean, calibrated, and in good working order
  • Complete work orders, service reports, and maintenance records accurately and on time
  • Maintain shop cleanliness and assist in training other technicians
  • Support customer satisfaction and identify sales opportunities
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently in a team environment
  • Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools, measuring devices, and maintenance equipment
  • Knowledge of compressors or pneumatic systems preferred; basic electrical knowledge a plus
  • Ability to follow procedures with a safety-first mindset
  • Good analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills
  • Proficient with basic computer applications (Microsoft Office 365)
  • Valid TWIC required; willingness to obtain necessary certifications
  • Flexibility to work varied hours as needed
