Proficiency with medical coding software, electronic health records (EHR) systems, and audit tools is essential. Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and strong organizational skills are crucial soft skills for accuracy and efficiency. These competencies ensure precise coding, compliance with healthcare regulations, and effective reimbursement processes, especially during weekend shifts with limited supervision.
