What is a weekend advisor?

Weekend Advisors are professionals who provide guidance, support, or customer service specifically during weekends. Their roles can vary across industries, including hospitality, education, retail, and financial services. They assist clients or customers with inquiries, offer expert advice, and help resolve issues that arise outside of regular weekday hours. Weekend Advisors are essential for organizations that operate seven days a week, ensuring consistent service and support during peak weekend times.

Search & Comparison IntentPeople comparing weekend-specific roles with general customer service jobs

The main difference between a Weekend Advisor and a Customer Service Associate lies in their work schedule and focus. Weekend Advisors typically work during weekends and may have specialized training for retail or service environments, while Customer Service Associates often work during regular hours but can also cover weekends. Both roles require similar credentials but differ mainly in scheduling and specific responsibilities.

What are the typical responsibilities of a weekend advisor, and how does this role interact with other team members?

As a Weekend Advisor, you typically serve as the main point of contact for clients or customers during weekend hours, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing guidance as needed. Your responsibilities often include managing communications, updating records, and ensuring a smooth transition between weekday and weekend operations. Collaboration with weekday staff is crucial, as you may need to follow up on unresolved matters or update colleagues on weekend developments. This role usually requires strong communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to work independently while still being a reliable team player.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a weekend advisor, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Weekend Advisor, you generally need strong customer service skills, problem-solving abilities, and prior experience in advising or support roles, often supported by a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with CRM software, ticketing systems, and basic office applications is commonly required. Excellent communication, adaptability, and time management are valuable soft skills for engaging clients and handling weekend-specific issues efficiently. These competencies ensure clients receive timely and effective support during less-staffed hours, maintaining satisfaction and operational continuity.

Job description

Automotive Service Advisor

$100,000+ Earning Potential | DeSoto, TX

Allstate Auto Experts is hiring an experienced Service Advisor who is ready to work hard, sell with integrity, and earn what they are worth.

Let’s get the fine print out of the way:

Weekends are required.
Automotive service advising experience is required.
You will work five days per week with rotating weekends.
You must bring 100% effort, professionalism, and energy.

Still reading? Good. You may be exactly who we’re looking for.

We are a high-volume, full-service automotive repair facility with the customer traffic, reputation, financing options, technician talent, and sales opportunities to support a six-figure Service Advisor.

Experience with Kwik Kar, Driver’s Edge, Sun Auto, Integrity 1st, Christian Brothers, Firestone, Pep Boys, dealership service departments, or another high-volume repair shop is a major plus.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Building trust with customers and guiding them through repair decisions
• Presenting complete inspection results and repair recommendations
• Following up on estimates and keeping customers informed
• Managing repair orders from check-in through delivery
• Working closely with technicians, parts vendors, and the advisor team
• Asking for the sale without becoming a pushy carnival barker
• Delivering an outstanding customer experience every single time

What We’re Looking For

• Proven automotive service advisor experience
• Strong sales, communication, and follow-up skills
• Comfortable handling a fast-paced, high-volume workflow
• Willingness to work rotating weekends
• Reliable attendance and a professional appearance
• Ability to stay organized when the phones, customers, technicians, and parts department all need you at once
• A competitive attitude without the toxic nonsense
• Someone who wants an opportunity, not just another job

What We Offer

Realistic $100,000+ annual earning potential for an experienced producer
Sales volume that may completely reset your definition of “busy”
Excellent employee benefits
Award-winning customer service team
️ Experienced technicians and strong shop support
A positive culture built around teamwork, accountability, and results
Full-service repair capabilities, including major engine and transmission work
A well-established, family-owned company serving the community since 1984

At some shops, you can give everything you have and still be limited by poor traffic, weak technicians, bad systems, or tiny repair orders.

That is not the problem here.

At Allstate Auto Experts, the opportunity is already in the building. Bring the experience, bring the effort, take care of the customer, and earn your worth.

This position is not for someone looking to coast, hide behind the counter, or disappear when Saturday rolls around.

It is for an experienced Service Advisor who wants to become one of the highest-paid people in the building.

Apply today and tell us about your automotive experience, your current sales volume, and why you are ready for the next level.  If you know you are the right person for this role - don't wait - lets talk today.
