About the Role:
Greater Houston Digestive Disease Consultants is looking for a skilled and motivated Advanced Practice Provider to join our dynamic gastroenterology team in Shenandoah, TX. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient lives in a specialized, fast-paced clinical environment alongside experienced physicians.
Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with gastrointestinal and digestive disorders
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including history and physical examinations
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as labs, imaging, and endoscopic findings
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
  • Manage chronic GI conditions including IBS, IBD, GERD, hepatitis, and colorectal disease
  • Provide patient education on diagnoses, medications, procedures, and lifestyle modifications
  • Document clinical encounters accurately and efficiently in the EMR system
Requirements:
  • Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Texas
  • Experience in gastroenterology, internal medicine, or a related specialty preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a physician-led care team
  • Excellent communication and patient-centered bedside manner
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • DEA license and prescriptive authority in Texas required or ability to obtain
