Job description

Title: Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Inpatient Rehab / Acute Care SLP
Location: Onsite – Pikeville, KY
Duration: 13 Weeks Contract

Job Description:
Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) supporting Inpatient Rehab (IPR) and Acute Care settings, delivering speech therapy, swallowing therapy, and communication disorder treatment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, assess, and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders across adult and geriatric populations
  • Develop, implement, and modify individualized speech therapy treatment plans in inpatient rehab and acute care settings
  • Provide dysphagia therapy, oral-pharyngeal treatment, and communication rehabilitation
  • Document evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries, and clinical reports accurately
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and rehab staff
  • Educate patients and families on therapy plans, home programs, and recovery strategies
  • Participate in weekend rotation (~every 4th weekend) and holiday coverage as required
  • Maintain compliance with clinical standards, regulatory guidelines, and facility protocols
