Thrive Rehab of Pearland redefines transitional care as the first facility of it’s kind. We combine a progressive model of healthcare with an atmosphere of hospitality and the amenities of a fine luxury resort, designed for guests who require short-term medical therapy or treatment after a hospital stay.  As a company local to Houston, we are seeking a candidate will a helpful attitude and friendly demeanor. 

We are currently looking for a Part-Time Weekend Activities Assistant with excellent customer service - energetic, friendly and caring - to provide our guests with compassionate and personal treatment. 

About the Role

Are you a "people person" who loves making others smile? We are looking for a creative, energetic, and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our clinical team on the weekends. In this role, you won’t just be passing the time; you’ll be creating meaningful moments for our residents through music, games, crafts, and conversation.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the Fun: Organize and facilitate group activities such as Bingo, trivia, exercise classes, and holiday celebrations.

  • 1-on-1 Connection: Spend quality time with residents who prefer individual visits, reading to them or engaging in sensory activities.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of resident participation (experience with PointClickCare is a plus!).

  • Set the Stage: Help transport residents to activity areas and assist with decorating the facility for seasonal events.

What We’re Looking For
  • The Vibe: Someone with a "can-do" attitude who can turn a rainy Sunday into a celebration.

  • Experience: Previous experience in a nursing home, assisted living, or memory care setting is preferred, but we will train the right personality!

  • Reliability: Since this is a weekend-specific role, we need someone dependable who our residents can look forward to seeing every week.

  • Communication: Ability to speak warmly and clearly with residents, families, and staff.
