The Accounting Manager leads a portion of the Corporate Accounting functions by managing accounting staff and workstreams. Ensures financial information is accurately reflected in the general ledger and subledgers and will develop and maintain appropriate accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, implement, and maintain accounting processes, procedures, and controls
    Lead, coach, and training accounting staff
  • Participate in the close of the general ledger each period
  • Oversee monthly and quarterly financial statement analysis and reporting
  • Ensure monthly account reconciliations and significant quarterly reserve analyses are prepared and reviewed
  • Maintain financial information and documentation
  • Participate in projects designed to improve company systems, processes and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College degree in accounting and CPA
  • Experience working in public accounting or for a publicly traded company
  • 6+ years of accounting experience + experience leading accounting staff
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and strong technical research ability
  • Ability to influence partners and serve as a change agent
