This exempt level position requires you to partner with all levels/departments within the organization, so excellent verbal/written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills are a must. The selected individual must work well with others and be dependable, organized, and detail oriented. Salary will be based on experience.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
• Ensuring all expenses, receipts, and other transactions for the accounting period are accurately posted
• Supports the Company's monthly closing process, including reviewing monthly journal entries and account reconciliations, performing variance and trend analyses, researching transactions for proper accounting treatment, preparing financial reports, completing rapid period-end closes and meeting all required deadlines
• Analyze monthly operating and financial results, including preparing internal reporting deliverables, analyzing trends & drivers, and explaining budget/forecast vs. actual variances
• Participates in annual audits and special projects, including system implementations; works with the controller and auditors to provide required information and ensure proper recordkeeping for historical purposes
• Support operations team to ensure they have the data and information they need to run the business
• Coach and mentor Associate accountants, including monitoring workload allocations
• Assists with special projects and other related duties as may be assigned
