Lifesteps in Butler, PA is hiring a part-time Accounting Associate to support the Fiscal and Accounting Department.

Lifesteps is a non-profit, human services organization which has been serving Western Pennsylvania for over 100 years by “helping individuals and families with life's changing needs”. The Agency provides programs and services to help children, adults, seniors and those with special needs live to their fullest potential. The Accounting Associate job duties could include:

  • processes daily receipts and transactions
  • assists with bookkeeping records
  • manage accounts payable or accounts receivables
  • reconcile bank statements
  • assist with preparing monthly and quarterly reports
  • communicate with vendors and agency clients

The part-time role is 20 hours per week, working only Monday through Friday. No Evenings, No Weekends, No Holidays.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years' experience in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Payroll, Auditing or Tax Preparation OR Associates Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Strong typing, analytical and computer skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent thought processing, and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Current driver's license and the ability to travel for business utilizing personal vehicle

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Proficient with Abila Fund Accounting (MIP) or Unicentric ServicExpert systems
  • Knowledge of Excel Pivot Tables
