Nights & Weekends Receptionist (25–30 Hours/Week)Ideal for a Pre-Veterinary Student Seeking Hands-On Experience
Are you pursuing a career in veterinary medicine and looking for meaningful experience in a veterinary hospital setting? We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and professional Nights & Weekends Receptionist to join our team. This position is ideally suited for a pre-veterinary student interested in gaining exposure to veterinary medicine, client communication, and hospital operations.
Schedule
25–30 hours per week
Must be available to work 2–3 weekday evening shifts
Rotating weekends required
Must be available to work throughout the year, including summer, school breaks, and holiday periods
This position is not intended for students who leave the area for extended periods during academic breaks
Responsibilities
Greet clients and patients in a friendly and professional manner
Answer incoming phone calls and assist with scheduling appointments
Check patients in and out of the hospital
Process payments and maintain accurate client records
Communicate effectively with clients and veterinary staff
Assist with administrative and clerical duties as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
Qualifications
Interest in veterinary medicine, animal science, or a related field
Pre-veterinary students strongly encouraged to apply
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable working around animals of all sizes
Reliable, punctual, and committed to a consistent work schedule
Previous receptionist or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
