Job description

As an Electrical Engineer I here at Honeywell, The Electrical & Instrumentation Engineers will join the Controls Engineering Team. The E & I Engineer will be responsible for all electrical and instrumentation on our pump and compressor production orders. These engineered-to-order systems are installed in refineries, petrochemical plants, and power stations throughout the world. you'll report directly to Sr Electrical Eng Manager.
 

This position is based in Arvada, Colorado, USA

Key Responsibilities

  • Performs basic instrumentation and control system engineering tasks and calculations with minimal direction and supervision
  • Performs specification research
  • Assists in development of technical documents
  • Assists in the development of P&ID's and associated I/O
  • Design of Junction boxes and control panels
  • Develop PLC programs, HMI configurations, control system design and control system networks
  • FAT & panel test and verification (individually and customer witnessed)
  • Works as part of a team on design projects
  • Develop and improve technical knowledge and skills
  • Support and lead Continuous Improvement projects
  • Maintain professionalism in relationships with internal and external customers
  • Plan needed communications and how to present the information effectively
  • Working knowledge of NFPA70(NEC), IEC, IECEx, ATEX, CSA, ISA and UL standards
  • Seeks out company and client technical standards and implements them on projects
  • Some travel to customer sites; kickoff meetings, design reviews, HAZOP analysis, field support
  • Knowledge of rotating equipment (emphasis on compressors)

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM (or equivalent)
  • 2+ years of related experience

The annual base salary range for this position is $72,000 - $90,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
