The hospital consists of 660 beds including a heart center, family birth center, cancer center, convalescent care center, adult care center, and wellness center. The main campus has approximately 40 anesthetizing sites including 24 main operating rooms, 6 procedure rooms, 3 OB suites, 6 procedure rooms and a variety of out of department locations (EP, TAVRs, Hybrid MRI). After his military service he attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he earned a bachelor's degree in public health, studying biostatistics and epidemiology, and a bachelor's degree in nursing. After working at Duke University Medical Center and UNC Health, Keith earned a master's degree in Nurse Anesthesia from UNC-Greensboro. He has been with the practice for 11 years and he has been the Chief CRNA at Rex for 4 years. Keith and his wife Priscila live in Durham, NC, where they raised their four children, one of whom is still at home. When not at work, Keith enjoys cycling, hiking, and travel.

Team highlights: Rex Hospital is a 609-bed metropolitan hospital and serves the flourishing and lively Raleigh, NC community. The Anesthesia Department is composed of approximately 30 anesthesiologists, 80+ CRNAs and has an affiliation with the UNC Greensboro School of Nurse Anesthesia. We practice in a care team model in a collegial atmosphere that allows us to effectively care for our patients in 25 subspecialties, including General, Ortho, Neuro, EP, Vascular, Thoracic, Cardiac, Bariatrics, Endoscopy, OB, Ophthalmology, and limited pediatrics.

Raleigh highlights: Located in the center of the state, Raleigh in close proximity to Cary, Durham, and Chapel Hill, NC and is considered part of the "Triangle." Just ten minutes away from a world-class international airport with direct flights to London and Paris, the area offers great shopping, dining, entertainment, breweries, food halls, etc. It's also only a two-hour drive to the beach and a three-hour drive to the mountains. With a great school system and close proximity to highly rated universities such as NC State, UNC Chapel Hill, and Duke University, the area is the ideal place to raise a family.

Requirements: Responsibilities include pre-anesthesia assessment, obtaining and/or verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks with the patient, induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring of the patient's physiological condition, and performance of clinical intervention as needed. Requirements include a current license as a registered professional nurse, graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education, and certification or recertification by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
