Job description

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cath Lab RN
Location: 900 23rd Street NW, Washington DC 20037
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift | 4x10-Hour Shifts | On-call required 1-2 weekdays per week with 30-minute response time
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
  • Provide patient care during emergency and elective angioplasty procedures.
  • Support therapies including drug-eluting stent placement, electrophysiology procedures, and pacemaker implantation.
  • Monitor patient condition, hemodynamics, and cardiac rhythms throughout procedures.
  • Prepare patients before procedures and provide post-procedure recovery care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe and effective cardiac care.
Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved Registered Nurse (RN) program.
  • Minimum 2+ years of Cath Lab experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility.
  • Recent acute care experience.
  • Current RN license in the state/district of practice.
Current Certifications:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - Required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - Required
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) - Required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) - Highly desired
Distance Requirement:
  • Candidates must reside at least 50 miles away from the facility.
