Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse

The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) at George Washington University Hospital is a specialized, high-acuity unit dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Our Cath Lab features advanced technology and a collaborative, multidisciplinary team focused on delivering innovative and patient-centered cardiac care. The unit handles a wide range of procedures—from routine diagnostic catheterizations to complex interventional therapies—serving a diverse patient population from across the region.

Our Cath Lab nurses deliver advanced cardiac diagnostics and interventions in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. As a Cardiac Cath RN, you will care for patients undergoing a variety of heart procedures, support a culture of clinical excellence and learning, and play a key role in ensuring safe, high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.
  • Monitor, assess, and document patient condition throughout procedures
  • Administer medications, IV fluids, and sedation as needed
  • Prepare and maintain a sterile field and equipment
  • Provide pre- and post-procedure patient education and care
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and participate in life-saving interventions

Qualifications:
