Job description

Job Summary
Coordinates incoming and outgoing movement and storage of raw materials, finished products and parts that include functions such as warehousing, shop and delivery services to ensure material availability and delivery when needed to meet production schedules. Compiles data on order volume, production schedules and forecasts and applies statistical methods to estimate future materials requirements.
Essential Duties
  • Handle loading, unloading, storage, transportation, and provision of materials, tools, equipment, and supplies to craft workers. Coordinate the return of surplus materials to vendors for credit processing.
  • Utilize backhoes, forklifts, man lifts, power tools, and tampers. Provide support to plumbers, welders, sheet metal workers, or HVAC technicians as needed and if appropriately trained.
  • Cleans work areas and restocks supplies and material as necessary. Maintains a clean, safe loading dock, office, job site and tool cage yard space with an identified place for equipment in order to provide quick identification of missing or damaged equipment. Investigates unreported after-hours and weekend entries and escalates where appropriate. Covers and protects equipment and materials from weather conditions.

Minimum Requirements
High School diploma or GED equivalent. Additional technical certifications or relevant vocational training is a plus.
Certification in operating backhoes, forklifts, man lifts, power tools, and tampers is mandatory. Rigging and signaling certification is also essential.
2+ years of experience.
Strong attention to detail.
Safety conscious.
Self-motivated.
Ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines.
