Description
  • We're looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team! The following schedules are available:
    • Rotating night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (12 hr. shift)
    • Mon to Fri from 11:30 PM to 7:00 AM (8 hr. shift)

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
    * Complete repairs to all machinery, facilities, and utilities per Work Order Requests.
    * Prepare and coordinate completion of Work Orders for regular maintenance and PM of machines, facilities, and utilities.
    * Log and track specific work functions on production equipment to determine and periodically update an effective Preventative Maintenance program.
    * Perform major Preventative Maintenance related to electrical or mechanical functions.
    * Train other Mechanics and Operators to effectively keep machinery in good working condition.
    * Perform all work in a manner consistent with established safety procedures.
    * Complete Maintenance Work Orders, report work done, parts used, and time spent on each job.
    * Fill out the daily time sheet as to tasks performed and time spent on job.
    * Determine items that need to be purchased or replaced, place requisitions with administrator.
    * Make recommendations for spare parts to be ordered to keep as stock items.
    * Responsible for training operators, and other positions as needed, to prepare these positions to perform minor electrical-mechanical functions.
    * Coordinate with maintenance manager details of any repairs (including outside vendors), preventative maintenance, or improvements needed on equipment.
    * Work in accordance with all company policies and procedures regarding employment, safety, quality, product safety and legality, security, and regulatory compliance as applicable.
  • Requirements
    * Must be able to communicate in English
    * An in-depth, detailed knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical processes. Must be particularly strong in electrical troubleshooting. Knowledge of Thermoforming and Extrusion of plastics is also preferred.
    * Detailed knowledge of electrical circuits and controllers, including trouble shooting of AC-DC-PLC, Motors, Systems, and Controllers.
    * Ability to read and work from prints, both mechanical and electrical.
    * Has the knowledge and skill to use a variety of hand and power tools as well as shop tools.
    * Analytically oriented to troubleshoot and establish root cause of problems.
    * Willing to work overtime and be on call for off-hours emergencies as needed
    * Qualified for forklift operator.
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • High school diploma or equivalent trade school diploma.
    • 5 years of experience in electrical machine maintenance (plastics industry preferred).

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS- HOURLY POSTIONS
    • Must be capable of bending and lifting tool parts and machine equipment up to fifty pounds
    • Able to push, pull or carry light loads.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT- HOURLY POSITIONS
    There will be minimum exposure to elevated temperatures on the manufacturing floor. There is constant exposure to noise (hearing protection is required at all times) as well as some exposure to dust and fumes (PPE is required in these situations).
