NTS Manager – Horizons, A Family Service Alliance
Cedar Rapids, IA | Full-Time, Salary Exempt

Horizons is seeking an NTS Manager to help lead our Neighborhood Transportation Service, ensuring affordable, first-rate transportation for our community. Working in close partnership with a co-manager, this role oversees daily weekday operations, supervises and trains drivers, supports dispatch services, and helps manage our vehicle fleet, safety policies, and scheduling technology (VIA on-demand software).

What you'll do:

  • Manage Monday–Friday daytime NTS operations and share on-call coverage (alternating weekends) with the co-manager
  • Hire, train, and co-supervise drivers; manage certification, licensing, and compliance
  • Oversee route coverage and drive routes approximately 8–10 hours weekly
  • Assist with fleet maintenance coordination, vehicle licensing, inspections, and recordkeeping
  • Support dispatch with scheduling, rider communication, and daily route optimization

What you'll bring:

  • High school diploma and two years of relevant experience preferred; 1–2 years of supervisory experience required
  • Valid Iowa driver's license and Iowa chauffeur's license with passenger endorsement (Horizons can assist with obtaining the endorsement upon offer)
  • Clean driving record; ability to lift 40 lbs, push a wheelchair, and drive routes as needed
  • Strong organization, communication, and multitasking skills; high integrity and confidentiality

Schedule: Generally Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with shared evening and weekend on-call rotations. Limited work-from-home hours available with supervisor approval.
