Can Shed is hiring a Warehouse Associate – Product Sorting to join our team in Cedar Rapids. This is a full-time, hands-on warehouse role for someone who is dependable, safety-minded, and ready to stay active throughout the day.

In this position, you’ll help sort recyclable beverage containers, support warehouse production, keep work areas clean and safe, and play an important part in keeping our operation moving efficiently. Job Title: Warehouse Associate – Product Sorting
Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Status: Full-Time
FLSA: Non-Exempt / Hourly

Position Summary

The Warehouse Associate – Product Sorting position is responsible for sorting recyclable beverage containers accurately and efficiently, supporting warehouse production flow, maintaining cleanliness and organization in assigned work areas, and following all company safety procedures. This role is important to keeping warehouse operations running smoothly and ensuring product is processed correctly.

What You’ll Do
  • Sort recyclable beverage containers by commodity, distributor, and assigned categories
  • Remove contaminants and help maintain product quality
  • Support daily warehouse production by rotating bins, bags, boxes, and product as needed
  • Operate assigned sorting equipment and keep workstations clean and orderly
  • Sweep broken glass and maintain cleanliness in assigned work areas
  • Complete and turn in required daily paperwork and documentation
  • Assist with unloading, bagging, stacking, and other warehouse support tasks as needed
  • Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and work rules
  • Work cooperatively with supervisors and coworkers to meet daily production goals
  • Cross-train in multiple warehouse sorting assignments and assist with additional duties as needed

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a repetitive basis
  • Ability to bend, squat, reach, stand, walk, and perform repetitive physical work throughout the day

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous warehouse, production, manufacturing, recycling, or sorting experience
  • Experience using hand pallet jacks, carts, or forklifts
  • Basic troubleshooting skills or mechanical awareness
Work Environment

This role works in a warehouse environment and requires repetitive movement throughout the shift. Employees should be comfortable working around warehouse equipment, handling recyclable materials, and performing regular housekeeping duties to keep work areas safe and organized.
