What You'll Do

As a Direct Support Professional, you'll provide compassionate support that helps individuals live safely, comfortably, and independently while promoting their personal goals and choices.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal preparation
  • Encourage independence while providing respectful, person-centered support
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment
  • Monitor and report changes in residents' health, behaviors, or overall well-being
  • Assist with transportation to appointments, community outings, and activities
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and team members to provide well-rounded support
  • Help residents participate in meaningful daily routines and activities
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance required
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Previous medical, caregiving, healthcare, DSP, CNA, PCA, or related experience preferred but not required
  • Dependable, compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to build positive relationships with individuals supported, families, and team members
