Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Employee Health Nurse, you will serve as a critical clinician, safeguarding the well-being of our dedicated staff and fostering a healthy, thriving workplace community through expert assessment and intervention.
Every day you will deliver comprehensive occupational health services, including complex pre-employment screenings, immunizations, acute injury assessment and management, case management, and proactive health education for our employees.
To be successful in this role you will combine advanced clinical expertise with exceptional organizational and critical thinking skills, a compassionate approach, and a proactive commitment to promoting the health and safety of our valued employees, ultimately contributing to a healthier and stronger organization.

  • Integrate Workers' Compensation Coordinator and Employee Health Services functions to develop an integrated approach to manage employee injury, illness and disability.
  • Maintain confidential Employee Health Records.
  • Monitor and ensure all annual employee and volunteer testing, immunization and medical surveillance requirements for, healthcare facilities, are in compliance.
  • Collaborate with Infection Control, Occupational Medicine, Safety Officer, and Employee Health Medical Director to ensure that employee exposures receive appropriate medical treatment and counseling and are documented, reported and tracked according to regulations and Sacramento's Natural Market protocols.
  • Ensure all post offer, pre-employment testing requirements for applicants and volunteers are complete.
  • Report and process all workers' compensation claims.
Job Requirements

Required

  • A minimum of 3 years healthcare experience: One of which is one year of direct experience in risk management, workers compensation claims management, care coordination,and/or occupational/employee health or
  • When staffing is able to accommodate training, management will consider RNs with a minimum of 6 months RN experience.
