Position Overview
Leigh & Co. Events is seeking organized, professional, and client-focused Assistant Wedding Planners to support our Lead Planners in executing exceptional wedding days.
Assistant Wedding Planners play an essential role in ensuring weddings run smoothly by assisting with event setup, guest experience, vendor coordination, timeline execution, and reception transitions. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on wedding industry experience while working alongside experienced planning professionals.
This role is event-based and primarily consists of weekend weddings. Pay is $150 per event.
Under the direction of the Lead Planner, Assistant Wedding Planners may:
  • Assist with ceremony and reception setup according to the approved floor plan
  • Place dรฉcor items including signage, candles, favors, menus, place cards, and personal details
  • Ensure dรฉcor and event spaces remain clean, organized, and presentation-ready throughout the day
  • Welcome and direct vendors upon arrival
  • Assist with ceremony organization, including lining up the wedding party and coordinating processional timing
  • Help manage guest flow and answer guest questions throughout the event
  • Monitor the reception timeline alongside the Lead Planner
  • Assist with room flips and reception transitions when applicable
  • Coordinate specialty moments including cake cutting, grand entrance preparation, speeches, first dances, bouquet toss, and other scheduled events
  • Assist with collecting personal items and ensuring designated dรฉcor is packed appropriately at the conclusion of the event
  • Support problem-solving efforts while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor
  • Represent Leigh & Co. with professionalism, courtesy, and exceptional client service
